Ariana Grande’s Groovy New Look Belongs In Sweet Charity
Ariana Grande’s Groovy New Look Belongs In Sweet Charity

Any Ariana Grande look has a chic, mod feel to it. The singer loves mini skirts, thigh-high boots, and punchy colors—all signatures of the 1960s. Looking at all of her outfits on The Voice last year proves this. However, her latest ensemble, for an R.E.M. Beauty shoot, is one of her best retro moments yet. It’s an ensemble so groovy that it deserves its own Bob Fosse number.

For her shoot, Grande struck a pose in a wave-print bra top and matching opera gloves, both by Fruity Booty. Grande’s white leather Courreges skirt is also very 1960s. The label rose to fame during the decade, after all, thanks to its refreshing modernism and futurism. Her graphic white Loewe sunglasses and Alessandra Rich earrings, meanwhile, lent a glam finish to the kitschy ensemble. She needs to get on stage in this outfit and whip her ponytail around, like that one unforgettable dancer did in Sweet Charity (who also wore opera gloves, might we add).

With this look, Grande proves once again that she was born in the wrong decade. She can’t time-travel (that we know of), that’s okay—that’s what throwback fashion is for!

Here’s The Real Reason Ariana Grande Was Cast In Netflix’s ‘Don’t Look Up’

In late 2021, Netflix finally released its highly anticipated sci-fi drama/satire Don’t Look Up. The film boasts a cast that includes several Hollywood heavy hitters, led by Leonardo DiCaprio (who nearly turned down the role), Jennifer Lawrence, and Meryl Streep.

Not to mention, the cast also includes the likes of Cate Blanchett, Jonah Hill, Tyler Perry, and rising star Timothée Chalamet.

After watching the film, however, many fans have come to agree that the real star of the movie is really singer/actress Ariana Grande.

In Don’t Look Up, Grande plays pop star Riley Bina. She may not have that much screen time in the movie, but the singer/actress leaves quite an impression. And while many have come to praise Grande’s performance in the film, there’s also a great deal of interest in how she ended up getting cast in Don’t Look Up.

In a movie that features several of Hollywood’s A-list actors, did Grande have to audition for her own role?
